Cave Rock is one of the most well known landmarks in the Lake Tahoe Basin. The Rock Formation was formed over three million years ago during the last ice ago when the lake was 150 feet higher. Today the neighborhood is known for great views of the Lake and serene sunsets.

Notable attractions near the picturesque neighborhood of Cave Rock is the Cave Rock boat launch, sandy beach and breakwater known for great fishing, and of course the hike to the top of the historic rock that has been a popular spot for multiple engagements and unbelievable sunsets.

Likewise, the Carson Valley is only 20 minutes away and offers a multitude of dining and shopping options.

Dining options include, El Charro Avita, The Red Hut Cafe, Pegs Glorified Ham and Eggs, and multiple dining options as the nearby Casinos.

For your daily shopping, Costco, Home Depot, Best Buy, Trader Joes, Walmart, and many boutique shops are just 25 minutes from Cave Rock.

Near Cave Rock you'll have a plethora of fun activities to keep the whole family entertained all day. In the summer, the main attractions include hiking Cave Rock to witness a breathtaking sunrise over Lake Tahoe, or a morning out on the water. For $250, you can obtain access to the NV park Pass which grants you year round access to The Cave Rock Boat Launch along with 15 other state parks to explore and enjoy. The Cave Rock Boat launch and beach is the perfect place to launch your boat, a kayak, stand-up Paddle Board, Jetski, or simply take a swim in the fresh refreshing water.
